Last month, I participated in this Rangatahi poetry showcase held by Auckland Council and New Lynn Library. It was so much fun sharing my poems and hearing those of other young New Zealanders.
It’s so inspiring to see people come together over the month of August to celebrate National Poetry Day and what poetry means for them. I’m sure many of the young poets I met at the showcase will go on to produce so much more amazing work.
I got to walk away with a few copies of the new book “A Vocabulary Of Rangatahi Poets” with our poems in it. It’s exciting to add another anthology containing a few of my poems to my slowly expanding bookshelf.
